A few days ago, the Lord began to talk to me about watching and praying. I believe in the power of prayer because it has changed my life drastically. Recently however, I began to be challenged by the Holy Spirit to watch and pray for situations and people that I come across. Usually when people think of prayer they pray mostly for their level of comfort and their family members. That is good but I think we can go from good to great if we become intercessors and pray for others as well. So with that being said, I have been praying secretly for every person I meet. It has been so rewarding to pray for others and be involved in kingdom affairs behind the scenes. I encourage you this week to find things, situations and people to pray for as you embark on your journey this week. Pray always with all types of prayer and supplications. Pray in the Spirit and pray in your understanding for those around you. Stand in the gap for them. They need your prayers and intercession. God is watching your prayers and He considers it a good thing when you pray not only for yourself but others as well.
1 Timothy 2:1-4
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
