I went to the beach recently for a stay-cation and to spend time with my family. I live near the beach now, and after a long work week, I needed the break. I also need a vacation where I go somewhere else and relax for an extended period of time. However, I read a quote recently that intrigued me, “Create the life that you do not need a vacation from.” Honestly, when I saw that quote, I thought it would take a lot to create the life I wanted. Thank God for revelation knowledge from the Holy Spirit that began to pour in my heart from God’s word. My life is not based on what I possess but who I possess. That is where my peace is and will remain. (See John 14:27) (See John 16:33 AMP) (See Isaiah 26:3)
Enjoying life is not just a human idea, but it is an idea from heaven. Jesus Christ said it himself in John 10:10.
John 10:10 (Amplified Bible)
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].”
Jesus Christ came to forgive your sins, give you an inheritance as a child of God and for you to enjoy life. I don’t know what you enjoy in life, but Jesus Christ is adamant about you having it. For me, that enjoyment came when I was in the Gulf enjoying the waves. I did not think about the daily grind and the affairs of life that need my attention.
I don’t know about you, but I want that enjoyment every day of my life. If he promised it, then I need to take what is mine. What about you? Friends, it is time for us as children of God to receive this precious promise. Pray and ask God to show you how to enjoy life. Then obey Him as he leads you to do it. Do it often. Do as much as needed. The devil would love to make you feel the pressure of life, so you have no time to have real fun in this life. Do not let him have the pleasure of keeping you worried, tired, depressed and overworked. It is time to enjoy life to the fullest!!!
